Moving on.....
Lets talk about boobies! Yay! Long live the boobies! I'm a huge breast cancer awareness supporter so I try to buy all the little trinkets that people offer to help fund research. I also buy a lot from Hoofprints.com. I love their site so much I actually get the monthly newsletter. It is full of neat little horsey girl items, as well a little bit of good reading. I do like to promote their page as some of their items help support horse rescue foundations.
Today was newsletter day and when the title was "Tits to the Sky" you gotta know they had my attention. As it turns out, it is an article about posture which tells about running across a blog, about another blog which is a post by Snarky Rider about riding posture. They also have some great new items for sale, at very good prices. Here is the link to the "article about a blog, about another blog which gives a link to the actual blog. (say that ten times fast!) I guess I could have just said, "here is a link to the newsletter"
I suspect I will be buying this little gem called "Celtic Epona". Yes it's a little riske', (did I spell that right?) but I think it is cool.

Update: See new mo' betta links below. Also I can honestly say I have been catching myself slouching all day, and giving myself the "Tits to the Sky" talk. Not only do I get a great little laugh, I'm sitting up straighter too!
Topic number 3 for today...Bits
I mentioned yesterday that I am going to change Trax back to the Mylar bit. Okay so it isn't a true Mylar, but it is similar in design. I priced the Mylar of the same design and would have had to choose between it or paying my vet. Vet bills come before everything else, so I had to go with the cheaper version.
I have one headstall for Trax(which was originally Danny's), one for Killian, and one for Sassy. Danny gets to use Killians. I have one spare which is very pretty, but it has very wide cheek pieces and hits Trax in the eyes. It isn't near long enough for Killian. I am tired of changing my bit back and forth so I purchased a new headstall yesterday. I looked at many, thought that maybe a fancy one would be cool, tried to find one that matched my saddle color, but finally went with a simple no frills set up. Now Danny can have his back, and Trax can have his own.
I spent a little time putting it together last night, and oiling it and my reins. Here is the finished product.
I didn't bother taking a picture of the whole thing. It is just a plain old headstall. I had been using a leather chin strap, and may end up going back to it. But this one was a spare so I figured I'd give it a shot first. I love the way the reins attach, easy to take on and off, but no clips in the horses face either. They are split reins. The cheek pieces of the bit pivot like a snaffle and the center also pivots. I showed it to MK, and he liked my choice. I showed it Trax again, and he said he would prefer no bit, no saddle, no work, and no rides period. But he does seem to like this one better than the D-ring.
TC wants to go to Billings this weekend. I don't really want to go, I'd like to stay home, but I will go if he decides too. I hate it when he travels alone, for long trips. I'm always afraid he will fall asleep at the wheel. No he doesn't have a habit of it. I just worry even when I don't need too! I'm going to try to do some grooming on Trax this weekend too. Hopefully I'll have some pics of his new do.
I hope everyone has a great weekend.
UPDATE: I see my link is not working properly so let me try again, Here is the link to the blog about a blog, minus the article. If you want to see the "booby" items go to http://hoofprints.com/ click on hoofprints for a cure, or even better, just sign up for the newsletter. They are always fun, and they come once a month, rather than every 3 days like some do.
I was getting hit with spam in my email too. What I did was go under Settings then Posts and Comments. Under that there is a section of Who Can Comment and I clicked Registered Users. It stopped my spam.
