NOT FAIR!!!!!!!!

As I sit here at my desk and gaze out my window I can see blue sky with just a few high clouds.

I am just on day 3 of my "Horse Week"

I woke this morning with my nose running like crazy.

I thought, "Oh spring allergies, no big deal." and took a Zyrtec.

Now I am sitting here with that flu feeling in my chest and starting to get chills.

This cannot be happening!

I'm trying to ignore it and just push through it.  It isn't working.

Busted out the "Airborne".  It isn't working.

Now I am torn.

I am supposed to ride with Kim tonight, and it is supposed to be pretty nice.
It could be that this is just a little cold and no big deal.

On the other hand, I have almost died from Pneumonia, because I chose to ignore flu symptoms like this before.

So what do I do?

Cancel and stay home?  Tough it out and see what happens.

This is not fair!

  1. Two TBS of cider vinegar in a glass of water with enough honey or molasses to make it taste good. It really does help!

    1. Oh now you sound like TC. LOL He swears by that stuff. I'll give it a try!

  2. Oh no! I too have been battleing a cold that I am afraid is turning into bronchitis but am ignoring it and hoping not.

  3. I'm always of the mind that if your body is telling you to take it easy, that is exactly what you should do. Or pay later. I have been fighting something for over a week now, can't sleep, sinus infection, feel good one day and nauseated the next, headaches on again, off again. Not sure what's going on. I try to rest, but like you feel like I'm wasting these days where the weather is good. Just be kind to yourself, you don't want to get really sick.

Oh, you are most welcome to come for a visit at our house. Have you ever been to Oregon? We're just an hour from the beach, an hour from Mt. Hood and lots of beautiful scenic areas like the Columbia Gorge...come on over, I'll show you around. Lots of beautiful forested areas to go horseback riding too. :)

  4. That's too bad. It is no fun being sick, that's for sure! Hope you are feeling better!!
